BOGUS CALLERS
TOP TIPS

  • Stop, Check, Chain, Go!

  • Say "No" to doorstep callers

  • Genuine callers will normally make an appointment first and will carry identification with photo on

  • If you want to check a caller's authenticity make sure you phone the number in the directory and do not rely on one they give you in case it belongs to an accomplice

  • Some utility services operate a password system (contact your local branch for details)

  • Do not keep large amounts of cash in the house

  • Always report suspicious callers to the Police and warn your neighbours

  • If in doubt, keep them out!
