The rate of domestic burglary is on the decline in West Yorkshire with a recent drop of more than 40%, however there are still approximately 2,000 burglaries recorded by West Yorkshire Police each month.

A large proportion of these burglaries could be prevented by ensuring that the home is adequately secured.
