TOP TIPS

  • Avoid Isolated bus stops - walk to a stop that is well lit or less issolated.

  • On an empty bus, sit near the driver.

  • On trains avoid sitting in deserted compartments.

  • If you are harassed whilst travelling on a bus or train, report to the driver or guard if you feel it is safe to do so, and report it to the Police.

  • Always book taxis in advance and ask them to give your name when they arrive.

  • If you feel vulnerable when arriving home in a taxi, ask the driver to wait until you are inside the house.

  • Carry a personal attack alarm and use it if you are confronted.
