Support Us
As a charity, Morley Elderly Action is dependent on financial support from individuals as well as local authority grants in order to carry out its work. Leeds City Council have awarded us a five year funding contract which significantly helps with costs to run and maintain our building and services. However, our long time future does have some doubt and with that the continuing support of elderly people may suffer.
If you or a family member has received support from us or even if you would like to help make a difference, please consider making a donation to Morley Elderly Action.
Why Donate?
Donations allow MEA to continue to help elderly residents of Morley, Churwell, Drighlington, Gildersome, Tingley, East and West Ardsley.
Donations help us to maintain our building, offices and tearoom.
Donations also help us to provide essential services and leisure activities.
How to donate
All donations are greatly appreciated, however large or small. They can be made as a cash gift or by cheque, made payable to Morley Elderly Action (please do not send cash by post).
Please call 0113 253 4484 should you have any questions.
Legacies
Legacies are a good way of leaving money for charity.
You can leave a legacy gift in your will. Charitable legacies may reduce the amount of inheritance tax due from the estate.
There are different types of legacy:
Residuary gift. This means that once the family and loved ones have been provided for, the remainder or a proportion of the estate is pledged to one or more charities.
Pecuniary or cash gift. This means that an exact amount of money is pledged to a particular charity.
If you would like to discuss this, please speak with your family or solicitor. If you would like to talk to someone at Morley Elderly Action, please call 0113 253 4484.
